IMG_8137 - Version 2

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, Living Grace!! I’m Kami and here’s the snippet version of me…

I am married to my best friend, Trevin, and can’t imagine life Trev-less.
we were married April 7, 2012. best day ever!

I’m generally a cheery person and love funny. need someone to laugh at your jokes? I’m in. My husband loves me dearly for this.

I have a passion for food…but, then again, who doesn’t?! I love to try new recipes and since I’ve gone gluten-free have accepted the challenge of finding substitutes for some of my favorite foods so I don’t have to miss out on the “goods”! If you enjoy trying new recipes and would like to see my board of all my tried-and-true recipes, follow me on Pinterest!

I have always had a special place in my heart for working with children. I began serving in children’s ministry at the age of 14 and most of the jobs I’ve held have been within the classroom or as a nanny. Little ones are such a breath of fresh air and I just love the vibrancy they bring to life!!

Pajamas/comfies are hands down one of my favorite things.
If it were socially acceptable {and looked cute} I would totally jump on the bandwagon of wearing them everywhere. Since I am a girl, after all, and I also love to feel pretty, it means finding the perfect blend can be tricky. I’m on a quest to find a happy compromise!!

For the past several years I’ve been living with chronic pain and illness and only this year found the correct diagnosis of chronic Lyme disease after formerly being misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I’m in the midst of a long road of treatment and recovery and much of my journey is shared here on this blog. Through writing my experience, I have been connected with so many others who also share the weight of living with chronic illness and it’s been such a bittersweet experience. I ache for anyone who faces this!

Finally, what is most dear to my heart, my love for Jesus. my relationship with him has been simultaneously the most challenging, deep, comforting, frustrating, joyful, safe, and character-refining journey I will ever experience. I’m a work-in-progress and he is ever patient with me. Through my blog I hope to share all the ways I experience his grace and learn to live both within and out of that place.

I’d love to hear more about you and your story either in the comments or by contacting me via email!! Let’s be friends : )
